Dear Aquila,

I love you and everyone else at Aquila HQ and all the things you do and make! You are SO awesome, you’re honestly my favourite magazine (and I can say that because I get quite a few other magazines as well. Sorry if they read this!)
I’ve been getting Aquila magazines for almost 5 years! That’s so crazy! Obviously I love all the writing inside the magazines and activities, but also just the pictures. Where do you find the artists? I’ve got a couple of passions - I love to draw and paint, so I could be an artist, I love to write, so I could be an author, I love to act, so I could be a performer, but I also love cooking and building things and other stuff, so maybe it would be easier to be a Leonardo da Vinci of sorts.

I have three younger siblings and we are all home-schooled. I think it’s really cool, and if I weren’t homeschooled myself, I’d never have known how many families there are in our area that do it - there are loads!

I think I am a curious kid and I like Aquila! I especially liked the Manga one with the Ames room. It is a very interesting shaped box, but it has a cool perspective view when you look through the hole. Ava (my sister) chose to colour the scene with scented pens. The monsters should not be in that room!

Two cats were having a boat race, one was French and one was English, Which one won?

The English, because counting in French you say un deux trois quatre cinq (cats sank!).

I know everyone says it but I really do love your magazines.

p.s.my favourite magazine (so far) is definitely the chocolate one!

Hi,

My daughter, Eilidh aged 9 is an avid reader of Aquila Magazine and was excited to see the bento recipes in the May edition.

She made all three recipes in the magazine and we even had some rice left over to make tuna onigiri.

Her favourite was the sweet potato korokke.

Ok I know everybody says this but, I love Aquila! I’ve only been a fan for a few months, since September, so I’m very new. My favorite issues are Pompeii (September 2022), Show Stoppers (November 2022), Winter Wild (December 2022), and Giants (April 2022). I have hobbies like reading, eating, and playing sports. I play volleyball, tennis, and I do aerial arts. Which if you don’t know what that is, it’s basically long pieces of fabric you wrap around yourself and hang them upside down on.Fun fact: aerial silks can hold up to 400 pounds! I’m half Korean and half Filipino, 10 years old and I love Greek mythology. Where’s my Percy Jackson fam at? My favorite foods are boba, ramen, and Korean barbecue. Could you do a magazine on Greek mythology? Anyways, that’s all I have to say. Bye bye!

Hello from India Aquila! I know everyone says this, but I LOVE YOUR MAGS! My favorite issues were the Winter Wild (December 2022) and the Pompeii issue (September 2022). I made the Busy Beaver from the Ingenious Engineering issue (March 2023) Hope you like it! Sorry that I couldn't decorate the box! The beaver's name is Builder, he's a construction builder (hence the name), but in his spare time, he's a magician! Bye!

P.S: Can you do an issue on geometry, Pokemon or Sonic The Hedgehog?

Hi Aquila,

I know everybody says this but I adore your mag! My first ever issue was Pompei (September 2022) and ever since that I enjoyed reading it. My favourite issue is Showstoppers (Nov 2022) … anyways let’s get on with the main subject.

Did you know that the Mayans had their own water system? As you might have realised I love the Mayans even though I haven’t got a whole book about them. Do you want to hear another fact? … I’ll take that as a yes. Did you know that the ancient Egyptians and the Mayans are very similar? For example they both use hieroglyphs and they both have big pyramids.

According to the Chocolate issue (April 2022) the Mayans Make a chocolate drink!

ps. Did I mention I love Aquila?
pps. I LOVE chocolate.

Hello all the way from Bruny island! I know that everyone says this (and this) (and probably even this!)but I LOVE AQUILA!!! I drew a picture of a flame robin and put it in a picture frame! I hope you like it! I'm a bit of a newcomer, since I only started getting your mags last year. Can you please do an issue on mythical creatures, ornithology or art?! My favourite issue so far is possibly Winter Wild (December 2022) or Science of Colour (January 2023). I love playing piano, and I guess you could say I can play the drums! Byeeee!!!

Dear Aquila, Hello! I have been collecting your magazines since March 2020. I live in the south island of New Zealand. I know everyone says this but your magazines are AMAZING. I don't have a favourite issue I like all of them a lot, but if I had to pick one it would be the Japan issue. Every day after school I check the mail box to see if the next issue has arrived. I really like reading the Ian bits and doing the puzzles. I like the riddles too ( when I say riddles I mean for example in the solar science issue the Escape from the ice cream van of doom) I like telling the jokes people send, I would tell you one but I get most of my jokes from you. Here's one what does a cloud were under his rain coat... Thunder wear!
Why couldn't the pony sing a lullaby... She was a little horse.

Hi Aquila!

I know a lot of people say this but I love your magazine - one of my absolute favourite issues was the Science of Colour issue. I’ve just moved from Bath in the UK to Perth in Western Australia and as soon as I got the January issue I sat down and did the chromatography experiment. I hope you like my pictures!

Love Marlow, aged 8

p.s Could you please do an issue on jellyfish? I really like snorkelling and I’ve seen a lot of jellyfish recently, they’re really cool.

Hi,

We love Aquila! We also love pangolin. It was world pangolin day on Saturday the 18 of February so we decided to do something to help them. We came to the decision to do a 10km sponsored walk around our local reservoir! We handed out leaflets and held placards. Jessica even dressed up in a homemade pangolin outfit! As it was a sponsored walk we named it the Pangolin Protectors' Pitsford Plod. We even got support from a local wildlife crime police officer who came along at the start to wish us luck and support us in our efforts. We raised over 200 pounds and hopefully lots of awareness about the danger pangolins are facing. We think pangolin are amazing and unique creatures and we really wanted to help save them!!!!

From Jessica, Phoebe, Maisie, Bea and Charlotte.

PS. Save the pangolin
PPS. Jessica has her own website about pangolin.
PPPS. We LOVE Aquila!!!!!!!
