Hi I’m Ruby, aged nine and I absolutely love receiving my Aquila magazine each month! I made the wing-flapping Phoenix over the weekend, from the November issue. I can’t wait to show my teachers and my school friends what I’ve made!

Hello Aquila, Your magazines are AWESOME, and we have had it since December 2017, every month we race to get it first! Do you like our den we made - we took inspiration from the pillow fort but made it out of rolled up newspaper! We both love books and some our favourites are Alex Rider, Artemis Fowl, Harry Potter, Outwalkers (by Fiona Shaw) and of course, AQUILA. We also like Minecraft, does anybody else?

I made the Chair-O-Planes from the issue February 2021. I am a big big big big fan of AQUILA. I love Ian because it’s really funny and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE cats and kittens. P.S Can you do an issue on cats and kittens please?

We finally finished our slippers, following the steps in your Ice age issue.
We are very happy with them, amazingly they fit! 🤣 and we learned new sewing skills. Blanket stitch and running stitch.

Hi Aquila,
You are AWESOME!!! I love your magazines and have been getting them for two years now.
During 2020, I read a series of books called the Young Samurai series, and since then I have been obsessed with Japan and everything to do with it. So it’ll be no surprise if I say that when the Japan issue came through my door I freaked out! I speak Japanese and write it and love to read, act, write, learn and I want to be a linguist when I grow up.
I also love manga and did a drawing of a Japanese Snow princess called Miyuki, which means beautiful snow:

Hello Aquila,
This was a really fun activity from your ice age issue, we designed our ice cream sundaes, based on the knight William Marshal, who liked apples (we made our own apple sauce) and hazelnuts(we used vegan hazelnut ice cream and real hazelnuts) and it had a vegan MARSHmellow on top.
And the pirate Edward Teach AKA Black Beard, who sailed around the Caribbean so we used, mango, banana, peanut butter and dark chocolate because of the black in Black beard.
They tasted amazing.

My name is Henry and I have been getting your magazines for a year now and I love them! My favourite issue is, The Amazon it’s so fun to read! I live in Cyprus so it takes a while for them to come.

Hi Aquila,
I usually don’t do your crafts because I don’t have the right materials but I had watercolour paper and acrylic paints so I could do the Turner painting.
It was really fun and the storm magazine has been my favourite so far. I’ve had my subscription since 2018.
